Nashik is the next big destination of upcoming SEZs. Renowned Indian and MNC firms are setting up hi-tech establishments. It is considered the educational hub to north western Maharashtra. The IT & ITES sectors, poised to grow multi-fold by 2010 have started operating from here. It is also known as the 'Wine Capital of India'. Nashik is transforming into a metro with prominent malls and multiplexes being developed extensively. Mumbai-Nashik highway is being upgraded to four lanes and the existing airport has been recently renovated.
